Photo: Beyoncé Hits the Studio with Miguel
Well this is a pairing I like!
A fresh face Beyoncé took some time off mommy duties to hit up the studio with the talented, “taking the industry by storm” singer Miguel.
Now I know Cryptic Beauties & Beaus I don’t write about Miguel, but I will not take away from the fact Miguel can sing and write his butt off. He’s a very talented individual and he deserves all the success that’s coming his way.
Moving along, Beyoncé released her fourth studio album, 4, last year with positive reviews from music critics who noted Bey for taking a step into maturity without skipping a beat.
When speaking to MTV, Beyoncé is quoted saying 4 would sound like:
“Well, I wouldn’t say I’m inventing a new genre. I’m mixing every type of genre that I love and I’m inspired by every type of genre…I’m not putting myself in a box. It’s not R&B, it’s not typically pop, it’s not rock – it’s just everything I love mixed together”
4 was definitely influenced by R&B of the 1970’s & 1980’s with the infusion of dub-step and pop and went on to be one of her most mature albums (I Am…Sasha Fierce was the stepping stone minus cuts like ’Diva’, ’Ego’,and ‘Video Phone’). 4 sold 310,000 units in its first initial week and as of today has sold over 1.3 million copies in the United States alone.
If you go to Bey’s homepage on her official website, you will see a .gif picture of the artist getting ready to get down in the studio. This picture above surfacing today shows that Beyoncé is ready to unleash some more music! But what sound is she going for this go round?
