Hunger Games heroine, Jennifer Lawrence, makes her Vogue debut on the November 2012 issue of British Vogue. Photographed by Alasdair McLellan, Lawrence strikes a pose in Dolce & Gabbana. The way her hair is styled for the cover is bothering me for some reason and I cannot figure out exactly why….
In the issue, Lawrence opens up to British Vogue’s Christa D’Souza about her boyfriend, Nicholas Hoult, fame and how she’s finding her new newfound role model status.
It’s always a tricky subject when speaking about being a role model to young impressionable girls. Once you make one mistake, you’re toasted (ask Rihanna). People act like these stars are robots built for “perfection” and are not capable of making a mistake.
Their human for christ sake. They (and we) are “flaw-ful” not flawless. As long as we live on this Earth, we’re bound to mistakes…it does not matter if you’re young or old, we will make mistakes and learn from them and apply lesson learned if the situation(s) arises again.
If you’re a parent reading this it’s your job to raise YOUR children, not the celebrity. And as for the young impressionable girls reading this, KNOW when your favorite celebrity is doing right and when they’re doing wrong. Don’t exalt the negative, learn from it.
