Art Basel Miami Beach, Day 1
Hey peeps, this is my older sister Tina (in the blue dress)…She has been diagnosed with Stage 2 Brain Cancer (Astrocytoma). If you can help in anyway by funding or spreading the world, I would be very appreciative!
Read the story below to understand more and thank you for your support!!
Created by Tati OnYourradio:
Tina was diagnosed with Stage 2 Brain Cancer (Astrocytoma), on June 26, 2013, and has been undergoing radiation at Swedish Radiosurgery Center in Seattle, WA. She also had the gamma knife treatment once. Just last week, she was told that the tumor has stopped responding to the radiation treatments.
Tina is a mother, and has been my best friend since Middle School. In order for her to be here for her family, as well as friends she needs to keep fighting. There is another alternative treatment that can help, but medical insurance doesn’t cover this treatment.
This is where you come in. If you have had the pleasure of being around Tina, or know those who have, then you know how special she is! She is now in a fight for her life and needs your help.
In order for Tina to receive further treatments at the Gerson Institute in San Diego, CA, she needs at least $25,000. Anything helps, and the more you can spread the word, the better her chances of beating this Astrocytoma.

How rude and disrespectful.
"Fashion" designer, "concept" designer, whatever she is, this garment is bad news….Peggy Noland thought it would be "awesome" to attach media mogul Oprah Winfrey’s head to various naked bodies.
The Cut did an interview with Noland (see it below) where she discusses why she chose the iconic mogul’s face for this "concept" design (as she calls it). Using someone’s “image” in such a foul way is deplorable and crude and I hope Oprah sues this lady and her partner in crime, Sally Thurer, for this filth!!
When explaining why she chose Oprah’s face, Noland made it "appear" she designed this garment with Thurer for "attention-seeking" reasons (read the bolded within the quote) or to cause a "uproar", as she puts it, like the David Nelson painting of former Chicago mayor, Harold Washington, created…There’s a David Nelson painting of the former mayor of Chicago, Harold Washington. He’s nude except for women’s lingerie. It caused this huge uproar in the late eighties in Chicago. It’s kind of an updated version of that. We feel very protective of our public figures. We don’t want them to be exposed that way, but we feel like they’re ours, too. The simpler, more lighthearted idea is that it’s like one of those bikini-printed beach shirts. I think there are some really meaningful philosophical layers. I can’t believe I just said “philosophical” when talking about a dress. We share a humorous underpinning to all our work. That’s why there’s naked Oprah with a KISS face. It can nod to how ridiculous the fashion industry is at times.
Ridiculous and disgusting! Sue them Lady O!!! View the interview below.
